Diversity and Inclusion are words that you probably have heard before, might have become familiar with, or even have solid ideas about how to create them in in your school or organization.
But what about “Belonging”?
In her article about “Belonging”, Montrece McNeill Ransom explains it this way: “Diversity is being invited to the party; inclusion is being asked to dance; and belonging is being able to dance like no one is watching.” Full article here: http://www.abajournal.com/voice/article/belongingness-important-to-diversity-and-inclusion-in-the-workplace
We invite you to not get caught up in the words or concepts of Diversity, Inclusion or Belonging, but instead focus on the way of being, the place to come from, and on the impact your way of being, speaking and actions have on the people and environment around you.
And also, we invite you to, and look forward to you “dancing like no one’s watching” at the 2019 ACTO Conference.
