Dear ACTO Community,
We’re writing to share a thoughtful update from the board as we continue moving through this important time together. Our recent planning meeting held both practical decision-making and heartfelt connection, and we want you to feel informed, included, and cared for every step of the way.
Staying Connected as a Community
We, as a board are intentionally trying to support one another through this process as well. We began our time with personal check-ins—celebrating milestones, travels, recoveries, and meaningful life moments. These connections continue to remind us that ACTO has always been more than an organization—it’s a community of people who genuinely care for one another.
Financial & Operational Updates
We are happy to report that the organization remains financially stable and on track. Thanks to your support, including the recent GoFundMe campaign which exceeded its goal, we have the resources needed to meet our commitments through the end of the year. We are planning carefully to ensure all obligations are fulfilled, including fair compensation for those who have supported our work.
Looking Ahead to Our Closing Timeline
As previously shared, ACTO will officially conclude its operations on June 30th. After that date, our website will remain accessible through December, 2026, so that past resources and materials can still be available to you. Behind the scenes, we are organizing and reviewing our digital archives to thoughtfully preserve what has been most meaningful and relevant.
Gathering for Our Final Forums
We warmly invite you to join us for our final two forums:
- May 27th: A special panel of past presidents reflecting on their experiences and the evolution of ACTO
- June 24th: A closing celebration open to all who have been part of this community
We hope these gatherings will offer space for reflection, connection, and honoring all that has been created together.
Social Media & Communication
We are currently finalizing plans for how long our social media platforms will remain active. While most platforms will be closing, LinkedIn may remain available through the end of the year to help ease the transition and keep a point of connection. We will share clear updates as these decisions are finalized.
With Gratitude
Every decision being made is grounded in care—for our members, our shared work, and the integrity of how we bring this chapter to a close. We are deeply grateful for the trust, participation, and presence you have offered over the years.
As we move forward, we will continue to communicate openly and ensure you have the information you need. Thank you for being such an essential part of ACTO’s journey.
With warmth and appreciation,
The ACTO Board
