Terms and Conditions

By registering for the 2020 ACTO Virtual Conference, you agree to the following terms and conditions:



Official Language

The official language of the 2020 ACTO Annual Conference is English. All materials will be provided in English. Provisions for Sign Language (ASL) and Spanish translations of speaker presentations can be provided upon request.

Virtual Attendance

Attendance and participation, at the virtual event is limited to individuals who are 18 years of age or older.

Inclusions

Fee includes:

  • Participation in all virtual education programs (a total of 30+ CCEU hours available)
  • Access to video recordings of all sessions
  • Virtual Sponsor Room

Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Cancellations must be received in writing prior to April 10, 2020 to be considered for a full refund, minus a $50 USD administrative fee.
  • Cancellations received in writing between April 10- May 8, 2020, will receive 50% refund minus a $50 administrative fee.
  • Cancellations received in writing after May 8, 2020 will not receive a refund.
  • If canceling for medical reasons, please submit a doctor’s note of explanation along with your request in writing. ACTO will refund the full registration fee minus a $50 administrative fee.
  • No-shows will not qualify for a refund of fees.

Transfers/Substitutions of Registration

Substitutions for paid registrants can be made before May 15, 2020 by submitting a written request to ACTO.  Substitutions made from an individual ACTO Member to a non-member will render the member discount void.

Proprietary Rights of ACTO

By registering for the 2020 ACTO Annual Conference, you acknowledge and agree that all content and materials made available by the Association of Coach Training Organizations (ACTO) at ACTO’s events or in ACTO’s literary or digital works are protected by copyrights, trademarks, service marks, trade secrets, or other proprietary rights and laws. Except as expressly authorized by ACTO, you agree not to sell, license, rent, modify, distribute, copy, reproduce, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, publish, adapt, edit, or create derivative works from such materials or content. Reproduction, copying, creation of derivative works, or redistribution for commercial purposes of any materials or design elements of ACTO’s intellectual property is strictly prohibited without the express written permission of ACTO. Permission is granted in ACTO’s sole discretion.

By attending the 2020 ACTO Annual Conference virtually, you consent that your likeness, captured by photo or video, can be used by ACTO for promotional and archival purposes in print, video and online, without notice.

Handouts

Handouts if provided by the presenters will be made available for download from the ACTO website 15-days prior to the start of the 2020 ACTO Annual Conference, when possible.

Program/Schedule Changes

For reasons beyond the control of ACTO, it may be necessary, to change program content, speakers and/or time blocks. ACTO is not liable for any changes.

Code of Conduct

Event participants are expected to behave professionally. Obscene language, abusive or threatening behavior directed to any other conference attendee, speaker, ACTO staff/volunteers is not conducive to a learning environment and will not be tolerated.

Sale or Public Display of Merchandise

Sale or public display of any merchandise or products at any location, other than that which has been specifically permitted by ACTO, is prohibited. Violators will be subject to revocation of their event participation. The violating coach’s ACTO Membership will also be formally reviewed by the ACTO Board of Directors. This policy will be strictly enforced against violators by ACTO.

Sharing of Information

By registering for this event, you agree to allow ACTO to share your contact information with official 2020 ACTO Annual Conference sponsors, and your details will be retained in the ACTO database.

Cell Phones and Pagers

Please respect your colleagues and speakers and put cell phones and pagers on silent during educational sessions and meetings.

Disclaimer

Presenters alone are responsible for the content of their respective program, presentations and/or handouts, which are offered for informational purposes only. The views and opinions expressed in the sessions are not necessarily those of ACTO and are not endorsed by ACTO. ACTO disclaims any and all legal liability or responsibility for the content expressed in the sessions or materials distributed as a part of the session.

Damages and Liability

ACTO accepts no liability whatsoever in respect of any loss or damage to the Customer’s property or injury or death to the Customer’s employees, agents or representatives arising from or in connection with the video broadcast participation.

Anti-Trust

ACTO recognizes all U.S. state and federal Anti-Trust laws.

Failure to Perform

ACTO shall not be liable for any failure to perform or any delay in performing its obligations if the failure or delay is due directly or indirectly to any cause beyond the reasonable control of the organization, its employees, agents or representatives which shall include, but is not limited to, the following Acts of God: fire, flood, explosion, accident, civil disturbance or emergency or periods of armed conflict.
