People outside the coaching profession, and many within it, may incorrectly believe that coaches are at the forefront of the conversation about inclusion, equity and social justice.  Unfortunately, this is not true.

Starting with a look at our schools, we will look at how the environments we create, despite designing them to be open to everyone and everything, might not be safe.  This may include such things as: the way that we market to potential students, conduct our intake process, teach our curriculum, partner with/teach our students how to partner with clients, and identify trauma.

Much more than how we look at our training programs, increasing our awareness is about changing the way we view our world.  If we are present and listening closely to our students and others, it will become clear if a process we are using in training is not ethically right, not safe, or is not aligned with inclusion, equity and/or social justice.

We will also identify the work we can do, on ourselves and as schools, that will make a difference in our journey.  Resources to support us as we go will also be identified.
