EMCC announced the Global Code of Ethics
We’re delighted to announce that two of the leading global coaching bodies, the Association for Coaching (AC) and European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC) have created a single, Global Code of Ethics (GCoE), which will apply to all membership categories in both organizations.
The new GCoE comes into effect on Friday 5 February 2016 and will replace the current Code of Ethics in both organizations. It will promote excellence in the development of coaching and mentoring and raise standards of practice.
All EMCC members will be asked to commit to abiding to the GCoE at the time of their next membership renewal. Further information about this will be sent to members at renewal.
Our aim is to extend the GCoE to other mentoring and coaching bodies and organisational signatories.

EMCC launched a new pilot project
EQA/EIA – this pilot is just about to be launched and will run until December 2016/January 2017. The pilot is investigating the feasibility of creating a license for EQA providers to accredit their delegates and alumni with EIA, verified by EMCC Assessors with EQA providers across 7 countries – Hungary, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, UK and one other (fully recognizing the importance of having effective QA systems and processes established) – for more information contact EMCC.Accreditation@emccouncil.org
This pilot is directly connected to EMCC discussions in relation to Coaching and Mentoring ‘Professionalism’ and ‘Equivalence’ (including having an impact on our thinking in relation to the European Qualifications Framework and ECTS).
