How innovative online coaching can increase your transfer of training
September 16, 2015
The world and its organisations faces a lot of challenges. The impact of technology and Internet has significantly changed the way business is done in almost every sector. Think about the travel or the hotel business for example. A business model like that of AirB&B was unimaginable 10 years ago. Many big names in business, incumbents, are more and more threatened by small start-ups that have much more agility and much more possibilities to outperform their competition. We believe that when Corporates define their strategies and come up with a new strategic focus like: “we want to become more digital”, “we want to be more customer focussed” or “we target to be more innovative”, they face a huge challenge in really implementing these strategies. Why? Because the key to success in their rapidly evolving surrounding lies within the capabilities and skills of their staff; their Human Capital.
How to really develop and improve staff’s capabilities, skills and leadership behaviour in the new era? Psychological research prescribes the ideal circumstances in which people develop new skills and behaviours. Yet it is hard create such circumstances by means of classical and existing forms of coaching and training. In my session I will explain how digital and online coaching can work for improving our current services of coaching and training. This is really exciting because technology and Internet, once well and smartly integrated in our professional coaching and training practices, enables to demonstrate added value as a facilitator for behavioural change. Combining online and digital technology with professional coaching and training and a solid approach increases the impact of our services significantly. Online and digital coaching means the coach process becomes much more efficient, effective and above all measurable.
