Greetings,

I would like to personally invite you to join ACTO, the Association for Coach Training Organizations.

ACTO is the only membership organization in the coaching profession that is specifically dedicated to, not coaches, but coach education and training. ACTO is at the forefront of the development, advocacy, excellence and growth of the coach training industry. ACTO’s members are individuals, schools and organizations that are committed to the future of the coaching profession, through the education and training of coaches.

Here are some questions that we hear frequently, and the answers below…

  1. Why would I, or my coach training organization, want to join ACTO?
  2. What value will I, or my organization, receive by being a member of ACTO?
  3. How is ACTO affiliated with the leading global organizations dedicated to advancing the coaching profession, such as ICF and EMCC?

3.  ACTO is an independent organization of coach training organizations with member schools that have both ICF or EMCC accredited programs and non-affiliated programs. The ACTO Board has an open line of communication with ICF which helps us support the needs of member schools and stay abreast of upcoming changes that may affect our schools. This year we are working to build a more collaborative association with other global coaching regulatory organizations such as EMCC.

You are not alone in training coaches! As the only organization specifically created to support coach trainers, ACTO offers opportunities for your voice to be heard and for you to be a critical part of the evolution of coaching. In order to ensure that the coaching profession continues to grow, thrive and add value to the world, coach training organizations must take the responsibility to add their voice and efforts to the continued development of the profession as a whole. This is something that is better done in a collaborative environment, and ACTO offers the perfect environment for coach training organizations to thrive.

I look forward to meeting you soon!

Halli MacNab, PCC
