Please join us as we explore how leaders and coaches can foster the creation of true belonging in coach training and in coaching relationships by first prioritizing radical self-inquiry. In his work at Reboot.io, CEO and Executive Coach, Jerry Colonna, urges clients to engage with the following key questions:

  • How have I been complicit in creating the conditions I say I don’t want?
  • How have I been complicit in, and benefitted from, the conditions in the world I say I do not want to see?
  • What am I willing to give up or change that I love about my life in order to see the world I know is possible come into being? A world, perhaps, built on reunion and union and no separation.

Starting with the coaching premise that “better humans make better leaders,” radical self-inquiry becomes a means to understand our limiting beliefs, and the benefits that those beliefs have provided for us. With this insight, we are better able to move past the structures of our childhood and become the leaders and coaches we were born to be – leaders and coaches who can create conditions that foster connection and belonging for all.

This experiential session will encourage participants to consider their own longing for belonging and discover how our origin stories overlap in ways that can contribute to connection and belonging rather than separation or “othering.” Participants will experience the power of radical self-inquiry and vulnerable sharing that can support them, their students, and their clients to build true connection and belonging in organizations, coach training, and coaching relationships. This practice incorporates the principles of a coaching mindset, deep presence, and active listening, and enhances awareness, trust, safety, growth, connection, and a true sense of belonging – individually and collectively.

Jerry Colonna is a coach, writer, and speaker who focuses on leadership, business, and the practice of radical self-inquiry. He is the Co-Founder and CEO of Reboot.io, a company born from the rallying cry that work does not have to destroy us. Work should be non-violent to the self, to the community, and to the planet.

A graduate of Queens College, Jerry helps people lead with humanity and equanimity. His unique blend of Buddhism, Jungian therapy, coaching, and entrepreneurial know-how has made him a sought-after coach and leader, working with some of the largest firms in the country. In his work as a coach, he draws on his experience in Venture Capital (VC) as Co-founder of Flatiron Partners, one of the most successful, early-stage investment programs.

Jerry is the author of two books: REBOOT: Leadership and the Art of Growing Up (2019) and REUNION: Leadership and the Longing to Belong. Both books, and the work of Reboot coaches, encourage the practice of radical self-inquiry as an important prerequisite for creating true belonging in the workplace and, by extension, in coach training and coaching.

Jerry lives on a farm outside of Boulder, CO – far from the streets of Brooklyn where he was born and raised.
