Many coaching models unknowingly support ‘externalisation’ to cope with dissonance/discomfort. The unintended impact has been a reinforcement of ‘othering’, both as coping mechanism as well defining fulfilment. To co-create greater inclusivity we need to understand what can drive ‘inclusion’ as an internal compass, and how our coach training programmes can support such a world-view or discount it.
